Jacobo Barrientos has been a part of the automotive industry officially since October 9, 2006. His managers were the respective Plant Managers almost from the very beginning. His path has had several responsibilities such as Metrologist, QMS & EMS Administrator, Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, Interim Laboratory Chief, New Projects Engineer, Customer Service Quality, Quality-Process, Supplier Quality Assurance, Internal Auditor, Chemical Compliance, DPS Manager, Technical Engineering Manager [including as Interim Maintenance Manager] and, the most recent as, Engineering Manager.
During his career has been several times assigned as a proxy of respective Plant Managers.
Jacobo graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Quality Management from the University of Guanajuato. Afterward, Jacobo was encouraged to further his education to further his career path. He decided to enroll in De La Salle Bajío University and pursue a Master’s Degree in Automotive Engineering.
He has worked continuously as a direct customer contact with Tier 1 and Tier 2 such as Continental Automotive Systems [CAS], Robert Bosch Corporation [RBC], ZF [TRW], Valeo [FTE], Schaeffler, Borg Warner, Brembo, Hitachi Astemo, Weiss Aug, Melecs, GG, HL Mando, Hyundai Mobis, Scherdel, Wiesauplast, among others. In addition, the largest OEMs such as Toyota, VW, GM, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai/Kia, Stellantis, BMW, Tesla, etcetera were his respective Indirect Customers.
During his career has been normally the main host of potential and current customers, suppliers, auditors, and global position visitors from Switzerland, Germany, the Czech Republic, Brazil, the United States of America, Korea, etcetera.
His responsibilities have been mainly on Quality and Engineering, and supporting Sales, until now…
